Best WhatsApp Guest Messaging for Boutique Hotels With a Small Team (2026)

Most guest messaging rankings ask which tool has the most features. This one asks a different question. If nobody on your team has time to run a tool, how much of the work does the vendor do for you? I ranked seven options on that one test, using only what each vendor says on its own website.

How did I rank them?

I gave each option one question. Who keeps it working after launch? An option ranks higher when the vendor does more of that work itself. It ranks lower when the hotel's own team sets up the rules, writes the answers and watches the inbox.

I didn't score features, design or price, and I didn't test the products myself. Every fact below comes from the vendor's own pages, read on 9 October 2026. Check them again before you buy, because plans change.

1. BonsAI Luxury

BonsAI Luxury is a done-for-you service, not a software subscription. It builds a WhatsApp guest agent around one property's own facts and voice. The agent answers only from facts the property has approved and passes everything else to a person. The property approves the launch. After that, BonsAI reads the conversations and fixes weak answers. Builds start from USD 1,500, after a free audit.

The catch. It's a new company with no published client results yet. It doesn't give you one shared inbox for OTA messages, because it covers the direct channel only. That means WhatsApp, email and website chat.

2. Quinta (formerly Quicktext)

Quinta's AI assistant, Velma, answers on live chat, Messenger, WhatsApp, WeChat and Instagram. Its pricing page lists a data service from $599 a month with a dedicated consultant assigned to the hotel. That consultant oversees how the hotel's data is collected, updated and shared. It's the closest thing on this list to having someone else keep the answers current.

3. HiJiffy

HiJiffy publishes its prices. Plans start at €99 a month, based on the number of rooms, plus a setup fee for each five properties. The Premium plan adds automated WhatsApp campaigns, such as a welcome message and digital check-in. HiJiffy offers setup and support help, but your team runs it day to day.

4. Akia

Akia's AI answers SMS, WhatsApp, email, web chat and OTA messages in the same inbox your team works in. Prices aren't published. Every plan on its pricing page says to talk to sales. The top plan adds AI phone answering and dedicated support.

5. Canary Technologies

Canary's unified inbox pulls SMS, WhatsApp, OTA messages, WeChat, LINE and email into one place, with AI replies for common questions. Its pricing page offers custom quotes and a dedicated onboarding and training lead. Canary says more than 20,000 hoteliers in over 125 countries use it.

6. Duve

Duve's Pro plan adds a unified inbox and guest messaging over SMS and WhatsApp to its guest app and online check-in. Prices aren't shown on the page I read. Tailored onboarding is listed as included with additional charges.

7. Asksuite

Asksuite has an official WhatsApp integration for hotels. Reservation agents reply during business hours, and its AI assistant answers when they're off. It also sends WhatsApp marketing campaigns and follow-ups. I didn't confirm its prices.

Who should pick something else?

Pick a platform like Canary, Akia or Duve if you have front desk staff who'll work one shared inbox all day. Those tools pull OTA messages in with everything else, and BonsAI doesn't. Pick HiJiffy if a published monthly price matters more to you than having someone else keep it running.

The right tool is the one somebody on your team will actually keep up.

What should you check before you buy?

Whatever you pick, ask the vendor these questions:

  1. Who writes and updates the answers after launch?
  2. What happens when the AI doesn't know an answer at 11 p.m.?
  3. What does WhatsApp itself charge on top? Meta charges per delivered template message, with some exceptions.
